Absolutely. Our boards are treated only with food-grade mineral oil and natural beeswax, making them 100% safe for food preparation.

Do I need to oil the board before first use?

Nope! Every Bevel & Bond board is pre-conditioned and ready to use. However, re-oiling every few weeks will keep it looking its best.

How often should I oil my board?

We recommend oiling your board every 3–4 weeks or whenever it starts to look dry. Use our Bevel & Bond care solution or any food-grade mineral oil.

Can I put this cutting board in the dishwasher?

Never. Dishwashers will warp and crack wood. Always hand wash with warm water and mild soap, then dry immediately.

Will knife marks damage the surface?

All wood boards will show minor knife marks over time — this is natural. Walnut is forgiving and won’t dull your knives, unlike plastic or glass boards.

Can I use both sides of the board?

Yes! Our boards are fully reversible. Many customers use one side for cutting and the other for serving or presentation.

What’s the best way to clean and sanitize the board?

Wipe clean with warm soapy water. For deeper cleaning, use a mixture our Bevel and Bond Balm every 3-4 weeks or when needed

Yes — just be sure to clean between uses. Many customers use separate sides or boards for raw meat vs. fresh produce.

What should I do if my board arrives damaged or cracks later on?

We offer a 1-year warranty for any warping, splitting, or manufacturing defects. Just register your board and contact us — we’ll make it right.
